Argus Core.
The engine every Argus client starts on.
Set up what you want watched.
Core is the starting point for every Argus client. You choose the topics you want watched and one starting jurisdiction; every item is checked before it reaches you, looked up against a base entity record, shown on a simple dashboard, and previewed in a short daily brief. Two background watches — a monthly digest of regions you have not subscribed to, and a real-time alert when a nearby region matches your topics — are always on. One flat price, whichever starting jurisdiction you pick.
Nine things every Argus client gets.
Core is the engine. Nine things arrive on day one with every client, whatever modules or region packs they add later. The price is flat — one jurisdiction costs the same as any other.
Topic monitoring
Any topic, any search terms — you set them. Always-surface and never-surface phrases let you tune what reaches you.
One starting jurisdiction
Your choice, at a flat price. Add more through region packs as your work widens. Any legislature with a public record can be added on request.
Three checks before anything reaches you
Every item passes three independent checks — pulling out the people and instruments named, anchoring each claim to a source in our records, and a final fact-check against the original document. If any check fails, the item is held back.
Basic entity lookup
A short profile, a sanctions flag and the sources for any entity. Trace adds the other seven views — connections, timeline, documents and more.
Standard dashboard
Standard views, an item feed, a calendar and jurisdiction filters. Bespoke dashboards are an Argus × feature.
Daily brief — preview
Three items a day, with no analysis or impact ranking. Argus Brief adds why-it-matters analysis, impact ranking and twice-daily editions.
Ghost Pulse
Ghost Pulse — our always-on monthly digest of regions you have not subscribed to, filtered by your own topics. Included with Core. Reads like a briefing, not a marketing email.
Nearby-region alerts
A real-time alert when a region you have not subscribed to produces something matching your topics. Always on, included with Core.
One engine, one record
Every Argus module runs on the same engine. Add a module and your existing setup applies to it straight away — no starting over.
Three checks before anything reaches you.
Every item we take in goes through three independent stages. If any stage fails or comes back uncertain, we hold the item rather than send it. We would rather miss something than send you something wrong.
Extraction
We read the document and identify every person, organisation, bill and instrument named. Each is tied to a permanent record and a timestamped link back to the source.
Entity recognition · source-stampedGrounding
The summary may only cite claims that already exist in our records. If a claim cannot be anchored to a source, the line is dropped — not paraphrased, not guessed.
No invented claims · checked against recordsFact-check
A second, independent check compares every statement against the source document. Where the draft and the check disagree, the item goes to a human editor before it is sent.
Independent reviewer · high confidence requiredThree views in Core. Ten with Trace.
An entity record has ten views. All the data is in the engine; your plan decides what your team sees. Core shows you the profile, a sanctions flag and the sources — enough to know who. Trace opens the other seven — enough to know why it matters.
The full specification.
Core is the foundation every Argus deployment is built on. Pricing is flat for any starting jurisdiction; pilots start from £600/month.
Built for institutions that need to get it right.
Argus is sold to parliamentary research services, foreign-affairs ministries and accredited civil-society institutions. We do not run self-serve trials — we run a 60-day paid pilot against your real workflow, with a named engineer on the account from day one.
